The New Warriors One
Pierce and Justice welcomed Mary, Henley, and Pasco completely. With final enlightenment comes the realization that physical life, human life is essentially a play. To have an amusing play, some must confront others. To experience light, there must be darkness. In enlightened consciousness there is only the Light filtered through the story of creation. In other words, the pasts of both the evil and the good are resolved. There’s also an awareness of universal unity. Families that proclaim “the four of us against the world” are dissolved into the familial bonds of humanity.
The feeling of oneness with all comes and goes in waves depending upon the environment and the task at hand. To maintain the enlightened consciousness, the liberated person cannot just leave their life in a human form. Instead, they must fulfill their role as it has been determined since the beginning of creation. Fate is all that is in their highest good.
In their daily group meditation, the enlightened five remained deadly still.
One morning all five were traveling beyond the physical form when Hope, Prophet, Darren, and Kelly arrived to join the group meditation. Pierce had fallen backwards. He legs were still locked in the crossed position, but at some point his body lost balance and rolled backwards. It was both funny and disconcerting to see him lying on his back with his crossed-legs perpendicular to the floor. His body was rigid, frozen in one position.
Hope noticed that Pierce’s skin was a normal color when she bent down to help lift him back into the seated padmasana pose. Prophet came over to help her. As they grasped Pierce’s shoulders, and sat him upright, they did not detect any breathing. Panic tightened Hope’s face. Was Pierce dead, she wondered. Prophet and the others heard her thought. Each took a small glass cup and held it beneath the noses of those in meditation.
None of them appeared to be breathing. The restlessness of Hope in particular awoke Justice.
“Good morning.” He cleared his throat and looked at each of them with a piercing glance. “No, we are not dead. In deep meditation the physical breath may be suspended for minutes at a time.”
Prophet bowed his head. “I should have known that. Forgive me Gurubhai for interrupting your meditation.”
“Seeing is believing. One day soon you also will no longer be shackled to the false illusion of the physical realms.”
The enlightened see the blueprint and script for their lives through super-human concentration. Two or more should join together in this highest state of awareness whenever possible. When five in this consciousness come together, earth and its human pests are about to receive a makeover. Five or more meditating deeply become aligned to the intelligent design for creation. The alignment of consciousness clears the lies of material experiences from manifesting. The combined power of Justice, Pierce, Mary, Hanley and Pasco was only limited by the singular route to achieving the best outcome. Power exercised correctly fulfills the intended design promising joy and peace for all. Power exercised poorly results in the fall back into bondage.
The remaining members of Warriors One had expanded their awareness but had not yet received the glorious awakening. Their intuitive wisdom continued to snooze between their moments of open awareness. Ignorance prevented them from immediately recognizing the breathless state of human awareness.
Even after having witnessed the breathless state of meditation, the rest of the squad continued to have doubts about the newest members. Hope trusted Pierce’s judgment implicitly. Prophet trusted Justice. They accepted this new arrangement with former members of Force Five even though they didn’t understand the sudden change that had taken place in the relationships.
Darren, Canter and Kelly were reluctant to embrace the former members of Force Five. Didn’t Mary just murder their former squaddie Rob. Weren’t they responsible for killing a stadium full of peace festival attendees and then placing the blame on Warriors One. Didn't they murder countless small but growing groups of those in deep prayer, yoga practitioners, martial artists, anarchists, and who knows whom else?
Darren retreated into his faith. He put his trust in Christ not in his fellow squaddies. Not only was the past of the new members checkered with evil actions, but the most important concern of Canter and Kelly was current. Wouldn’t welcoming these three into Warriors One make the anarchists their sworn enemies?
Life in Prison
Like most who are imprisoned, Gambles and Brianna felt as though they lived the same day, over and over. Even though the seasons changed around them, they lost track of the months and years. Their newest prison was the largest yet. There were separate areas for all of their activities. After rising in the morning, they would meditate together before taking a simple breakfast of a few pieces of fruit. Throughout the day they performed calisthenics and honed their phenomenal powers.
Gambles was persistent in his desire for Brianna. Even though Brianna was slow to reciprocate his emotions, she needed human interaction and affection. Slowly, she began to focus on the aspects of Gambles that she appreciated. She found Gambles to be like a clown. When he wasn’t focused on murdering their enemies, he was light-hearted emotionally and made her laugh.
It began a day like any other, Gambles and Brianna sat on an outdoor patio eating fruit for breakfast. Gambles assembled the peals from their fruit into a small flower-like ornament. Holding it in the palm of his hand, he reached towards Brianna.
“My lady.”
Brianna was smiling as she took the “flower” from his hand. Suddenly the guards who stood just beyond the transparent forcefield, all dropped dead. It was unclear whether this was a positive or negative event for the two prisoners. They stood and immediately tested the forcefield.
The forcefield remained strong. Without guards telling them to stand back, they continue to test the walls of energy. As Brianna and Gambles began working on possibilities to take down the forcefield, a group of Anarchist leaders appeared. The small entourage was led by a tall, thin, man named Errico.
When Errico stepped forward to address the two, Gambles could see his hollowed cheeks were taunt. Gambles spoke first.
“I suppose you came to murder us. Get your revenge?”
“Do you know who I am?”
“You’re an anarchist. What more do I need to know?”
“My name. We’ve met before. Do you even recognize my face, or did you just assume ‘anarchist’ from my thoughts?”
“Just kill us and get it over with.”
“I’m not here to kill you. I’ve come with a proposal. The anarchist nation needs a public face. We plan to bring the world under our way of living.”
“Really. Tell me more.”
“Tell us more,” Brianna interjected.
“I think we have more in common. Perhaps you should have joined with us instead of killing my parents and attacking wandering groups of anarchists for no reason.”
Errico paused. His face had a distant and blank expression of doubt. For a moment, he reconsidered if this was the best course of action. He continued, “But all works for good.”
“Get us out of here and we’ll consider your proposal.”
“No. You’ll stay there until I’m convinced you truly want to join our cause.”
“So, what do you propose?”
Unfriendly Welcome
The majority of individual anarchists in the growing nation were not happy to see the arrival of Brianna and Gambles. Memories of the attacks by the Force Five were still fresh in their minds. Gambles and Brianna had been appointed spiritual leaders without a general vote. Appointment by fiat was not an anarchist method. Errico advised Brianna and Gambles to keep a low profile. Interactions should be deferential and with some humility.
“We agreed to join with your global domination initiative, not to bow to your citizens.”
“There are dozens here who can kill you with a few words.”
“Those words don’t work on us.”
“Not the lame ‘allie up’ command.”
Brianna was surprised that her body involuntarily shuddered as Errico spoke the two murderous words. Gambles also felt the power behind Errico’s words but didn’t react.
“Some have indescribable power. I recommend that you don’t test them. There is concern that I was wrong to seek an alliance with you.”
“Why did you?”
“Because anarchists are largely pacifists unless forced to defend themselves. You two and your Force Five made us come together to defend ourselves. A new world order is now inevitable. Forced freedom, if you will. Removing those who protest will be necessary. You are willing to kill, while most anarchists are not.”
“So were the execution team.”
“You know what we discussed. You will assume a much larger role than the grim reaper on the global stage.”
